When I started Naples Soap Company in 2009, I wanted to create skin care solutions for people like me with sensitive skin. For years, I suffered from psoriasis and eczema, so I know what it feels like and how challenging it can be to find relief.
I recently reformulated our soap called The Eczema Soap. I did this because the FDA updated regulations and requirements for products containing rubbing alcohol.
The new formula contains the same key botanicals that can help soothe the skin, such as aloe vera, pennywort, bladderwrack, coconut oil and oat kernel flour. Additionally, by removing the alcohol component, the soap is even more gentle on the skin.
Although the ingredients are extremely similar between the old and the new formulas, I decided to rename the soap by calling it the Sensitive Skin Soap. The new name will help users with a variety of skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema know that this is a mild soap specially developed for sensitive skin.
